Welcome to The Emporium
The Emporium was created to display and sell items made from recycled timber by the men who work in Standford Hill’s Wood Works workshop.

The building itself, apart from the outside shell, has been made using pallets, recycled decking and various other items destined for landfill. It was built entirely by the men employed in Wood Works and took four months to complete.

The counter was created from old doors donated by Sheppey Groundhouse which they had salvaged.

Some of the furniture was donated or rescued and has been restored so it can give many more years of service.

All items were the inspiration of both the workshop supervisor and the men themselves.

Each piece has been lovingly created/restored with care and the quality of the finished product clearly shows the talents and passion from all involved in this project.
